I see this everywhere I turn. In my home, neighborhood, workplace, and even with strangers. So how should we respond? We need to slow down and be looking for opportunities to connect....be the hands and feet of Jesus.
In order to do this, I have to intentionally place a margin in my life so I am not screaming through my day so busy that I miss the opportunity to love on others. At times, all I have to do is walk into my own living room or turn off media and truly connect with my sweet family who always seem to get the last of me.
Sometimes, I just have to look around my neighborhood for someone who needs an extra smile, hug, or word of encouragement. If you look right or left down your street I promise you there are hurting people in your neighborhood....they need Jesus and they need you!
I encourage you to build a margin in your schedule this week and ask God to show you where there is opportunity to encourage, love, and be His connection to others. I know He'll give us the chance!
