So where do you go for peace, solace, encouragment, and renewal of your spirit? The Word has all those things for us and I would like to share a few scriptures that have kept me going through the years. I like to print these out, place them where I will see them multiple times a day and I place my name in the scripture to make sure I remember that the Word is a love letter from the Father straight to my heart!
When we are weary and just about to break like the bruised reed, He sees this and longs to gives you strength and encouragement.
61:3 "and provide for those who grieve in Zion--to bestow on them a crown of
beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment
of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of
righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his
This is what He will do for you in time....He wants to bestow on you beauty, gladness, and praise for His glory.
Isaiah 41:10 ‘You’re my servant, serving on my side. I’ve picked you. I haven’t dropped you. Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.”
This last one is my favorite! Can you hear Him whispering this to you....read it again, write it out, pray it over your life and circumstances. He promises not to let go! In the days ahead He will be your strength, He will be your guide on what to do next, He will provide peace, He will give you wisdom and strength for the journey with your children.
