Have you ever thought about why God put his human creation into families? Malachi 2:15 (Amplified) explains it so well. "And did not God make (you and your wife) one (flesh)? Did not One make you and preserve your spirit alive? Any why (did God make you two) one? Because He sought a godly offspring (from your union)" His purpose for our family is that we raise our children to love Jesus and serve Him and live for Kingdom purpose.
Statistics show that 75% of Christian young people leave the church after graduating from high school. This statistic is tragic! Why are three out of four young adults walking away from their faith? Could it be because they are not experiencing the demonstration of God's character, power and authority in their home?
Our purpose in writing this book is to encourage you to go beyond providing just a "Christian" home for your children. We believe God wants our home to be a power-packed sanctuary for our kids, where He is free to move and display His awesome power. We want our home to be a place of refuge, where the Holy Spirit is welcome to heal, comfort, encourage, protect and deliver.
The enemy is afraid of this kind of home because he knows its residents are aware of his schemes and how to fight them. In this home it's obvious, from the youngest to the oldest, God occupies every heart and all eyes are fixed on Him and His truth. This speaks of a home filled with activity rooted in God and His character. It goes way beyond a family who believes in God, goes to church, prays over meals, and tries to live right.
God's desire for our home is to manifest His love in and through every member of our family. This, my friend, is the power of home!
