Generally our first reaction is "get me out of this!" But I have been asking the Lord what He wants from our current situation; how does He want me to handle it; what is His "good and perfect will" in it all? I have this overwhelming, peace-filled prayer to "do it well." That's the plan....what ever "IT" ends up being. I want to bring Him honor, that others will see Him through our situation and our reaction to the situation, and He is glorified above all else.
I know that many of you currently have "life" going on, you are unsure of what the future holds, you have realized immense loss, you are under excruciating stress at work, your marriage is about to break, or you see your children walking away from all you have taught.....these are all difficult situations to endure.
Thank the Lord this is not where our story ends.....He has overcome these trials.....ultimately. We have a hope that this hurting world needs so desperately. We have to hold on.....to do this life well.
In 2 Corinthians 5:20 Paul concludes, "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us." You see, He wants to use us, everyday....right where we are....in the midst of our mess, our fears, and our trials. He wants our lives to make an appeal to who He is, the power we have in His name, the assurance of better days ahead!
So, I want to encourage you to view your "stuff" through a different lens this week. Through His lens. See your life, your trial, your uncertainty as a way to be used by Him. In the midst of it all, seize the opportunity to make His appeal!
Please know that we would be honored to pray with you and for your trial. Feel free to leave a comment and share your requests!
