Today I thought I'd share some habits I've incorporated into my life and I am hoping you all will join in and share things you do to keep yourself on track. We all could use some fresh ideas in this ever-ending struggle of losing weight and staying fit. So here we go...
+ I try to eat at least one salad each day. I got so tired of dragging out all the toppings for my salad so I got a tupperward container and put all my toppings in it and put it on the shelf in the fridge. When I go to make a salad, I just grab the container and all the salad stuff is ready to go! I keep my lettuce in the crisper, but everything else goes in the container. What are my toppings? I'm so glad you asked! I use feta cheese, cucumber, mini red,yellow,and orange peppers, tomato, avocado, broccoli slaw mix,and black olives. This makes fixing a salad so easy.
+ I love snacks like hot & spicy cheezits and chocolate animal crackers. I eat them guilt free by limiting myself to 1/2 a serving when I eat them. That means I get 12 cheezits and 8 animal crackers. I have found I don't feel deprived when I eat stuff like this in this way.
+ I eat an apple almost everyday around 11am. I find this really helps me eat less at lunch and I know I'm getting at least one serving of fruit in everyday.
+ If you are like me, you find yourself hungry mid-afternoon. Protein is the best snack! I eat 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese and I put my 12 hot & spicy cheezits in with it..(don't knock it till you try it!) This fills me up and also helps me not overeat at dinner.
