Tom loved his wife Linda, their children, and many grandchildren but most of all, Tom loved Jesus. Not just by saying he was a Christian or a follower of Jesus. But the kind of love and devotion that lives out the scripture in Luke 10:27 "to love God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind." The great thing was - others were always the recipient of that love. Tom loved those around him...fully.
In Matthew 5:16 it says to "let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify our heavenly Father - Tom did just that. Just prior to his memorial, Linda received an email from a co-worker of Tom's. It stated "Tom's faith was lived loudly by his actions."
Oh what a legacy to leave! That our faith in action would draw others to Jesus and ultimately to an eternity with Him. That was Tom's goal - to bring as many to Jesus as possible in his time here on earth. Daily, he had an "eternity" perspective.
This week take a few moments to reflect on what your legacy will be. Ask the Lord to help you live your faith loudly so that others will see Him. Because in the end - that's the only thing that matters.
Looking forward to us all seeing Tom again!
