I know many people right now who are in a state of waiting. I pray, for you, the wait to be short and the answers come. I pray that marriages are restored, jobs are offered, wayward children come back to their faith, healing is on its way, depression is lifted, and hopes are restored.
For some the wait has been long, some incredibly painful, some debilitating, and some just quiet. Much like David, while in waiting we wonder, "Do you hear me Lord?," or "Where are You?" (Psalm 13)
These questions don't shake or surprise Him. He knows the road is difficult and the situation, at times, feels unbearable. But it's in the waiting that we have a choice. A choice to look to Him, see Him working, acknowledge His presence, and place our "state" at His feet and wait.
When we do this, we can say the words of David in Psalm 13: 5-6:
But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing the Lord’s praise,
for he has been good to me.
So, here's is what I know about "The Wait":
In the wait: I choose joy
In the wait: I find peace
In the wait: I learn to trust
In the wait: I seek Him
In the wait: I see His love
In the wait: I have Hope
For encouragement in your journey, read these over yourself time and time again while in 'The Wait."
